This is a fun topic for us, because this is kinda what we're all about at SocialLt.
Branding is a huge part of creating a company, because your branding is what everyone will see and know you as.
So you might be wondering, why are there so many companies out there with yuck branding????
Simply, they don't have an eye for design and they don't want to pay someone else to do it.
And sure, there are companies out there with horrible branding who are making tons of money. But those companies are usually the ones who've built incredible rapport and live and breath their industry.
So let's dive into the 3 main points we want to cover when it comes to the importance of branding.
1. This is how people get to know you! We live in a world where a lot, if not most, advertising is done online. Even if we go back to when having a big flashy logo was the way to catch peoples' attention...well... read back that last sentence. That's how you'd get peoples' attention! So nowadays, we can be even more successful at getting our perfect client because there are way more places to advertise, meaning we don't necessarily have to have a "flashy" brand to catch someones attention, just one that speaks to them.
2. It creates ease for you as the business owner. Not knowing what to post, what fonts to use, or which colours go together best, can cause you a giant headache and take up way too much time. Take it from us. When you don't know what your overall "vibe" is, it can be seriously overwhelming as the person in charge of your brand. When you know what colours/tones to use, what fonts go together best and what kind of pictures you're going for (ie. infographics, selfies, nature, etc.) then it makes the whole advertising and social media game a lot more fun.
3. It doesn't matter what you do. People want to see a clean, crisp, professional image portrayed by whoever they are hiring or working with. Since people started doing business, it's always been an important aspect to be "put together". What do we mean by this? Well, again, it doesn't matter what you do. If you don't have a nice logo, or a nice social media feed, or ads that draw people in while still being professional, then you will lose more potential customers than you'll gain. Knowing how to brand yourself to your perfect buyer is incredibly important, especially in 2022.
Do you feel like you have a better idea of what branding is and why it's so important in your business?
